Why I am A Dog Person

There is a logical reason that I have never owned a cat, never even wanted a cat, and always considered myself a dog person. Due to my father’s allergy to cats, I assumed that I too should avoid them at all costs. This turned out to be a good call as  more than once I unknowingly entered into a cat’s house followed by  much sneezing and watering of the eyes. I have been told that this is a seasonal issue, but this did not deter me from keeping my distance, and returning home to my dogs. As a child, our dogs were always patient, big enough to join in play, run up and down hills, snuggle on the couch, snow ski on a toboggan,  and roll in the leaves.  They were like our siblings.

Regardless of my leaning towards dogs, when I saw the following video sent to us by Marian Hirsch,  I developed a whole new respect for cats and instead of titling it “Why I am A Dog Person”,  I think  that “Oh those Mischievous Kitties!” might be a better fit.

The next video, sent to us by Ron Haffling, is called ‘Puppy Attack’, and  just too, well, adorable is the only word that comes to mind.

  1. I have never been a cat person and got a good laugh at these antics. Dogs rule.

  2. This is a great way to start a Monday. Dogs win my favor too, but I laughed out loud at the antics of the cats.
