Yes, the times they are a changing, constantly and more rapidly with every year. We may feel that some of the changes are positive while others are cringe worthy or sadden us. Is it too much to suggest that we examine and embrace the new when it makes sense and appeals to us, and otherwise continue with the comfortable and the known, i.e. the tried and true? They say humans are creatures of habit, but in fact we are constantly learning, growing and changing. We are resilient and adaptive by nature and so will not be overwhelmed by whatever comes our way.
Thanks to Barbara Roach for sending this to us.
So true, on all accounts! Some changes amazingly helpful ( technology capabilities), but many changes so harmful, and even the application of the technology benefits are detrimental in many ways ( i. e. Cyber bullying, mental health issues caused by social media, obesity rising sharply partly because of the lack of physical exercise 2ndary to use of cell phones, video games, etc!)
Debbie, Thank you for your comments on this week’s post. It is said that the one true constant in life is change. I think it follows that learning how to accept it and to adapt changes to our benefit is our challenge.
